Class of '61
Annual Mass in rememberance of Biddy (nee Finnucane)and Grainne(nee O Donnell) will be celebrated in Dominican Church i.e. Black Abbey, Kilkenny on Wednesday 25th November @1 10 p.m .
Lunch to follow in Rivercourt Hotel.

Class of ‘49   The class of ’49 did meet for a class reunion in a Dublin Hotel on 6th May 2009

 The Class of '66  For a number of years the class of '66 has been getting together for weekends in various locations around the country. The last gathering was a really enjoyable weekend in Galway in April 2008. The next rendez vous will be in Knockranny House in Westport, 9th/11th. October 2009. Bi ann gan teip!

Class of '67:   The class of '67 held reunion on the 16th/18th. June at Rathmullen House in Donegal. This year's reunion is being organised by the Donegal contingent~ Marian McAlinney, Ronat Doherty, Pauline McBride and Mary O'Leary. We hope to have a great attendance"

SVP Mairead Bushnell First Woman President in 160 years

Past Student Ms. Mairead Bushnell - formally Cork Regional President - is National President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Ireland.  A long-time community activist and woman of quiet determination, Mairead now assumes leadership of Ireland's largest voluntary organization of social concern and action. SVP has over 9,200 volunteers in 1,000 Conferences (branches) on the island of Ireland and last year spent over €41m fighting poverty and disadvantage with a wide range of community services. 

Originally from Co. W cklow has taught in schools in Dublin and Cork. Mother of four adult children, she is a past president of Roscrea I.C.A; past Chairperson of the Board of Management of St. Mary's School, Rochestown, Cork and a founder member of Douglas Gymnastics club. She has also run a computer payroll company in Cork.& July 21, 2010lderly in one of Cork's most disadvantaged areas. Her contribution to the ongoing training and up skilling of SVP members was recognized in 1998 with her appointment to SVP's National Training Team. 

Elected Cork Regional President in 2003, she was also appointed chair of SVP's National Trainers Working Group and a member of the Society's first 3 Year Plan team.  As National President, Mairead aims to focus on the reality that poverty has an ever-changing face - lack of money being just one aspect - and that SVP's unrelenting objective is to serve people in need in an appropriate and effective manner.
